‼️ Charlie’s Top Surgery Fund ‼️

Hey everyone ! My boyfriends name is Charlie Alvarez. He is 18 years old and graduated from high school a couple months ago. He is an artist and sells commissions (his Instagram commission account : @commissionsbycharlie). He recently was just hired by Bed Bath and Beyond and currently works part time. In June, Charlie was forced to move out of his childhood home. A couple months before he left his house, he came out to his family as transgender. Unfortunately, his family was unaccepting. They would refuse to use his correct name, refuse to use his correct pronouns, and refused to accept him in general. When he moved out of his parents house, my family (Cecy, his girlfriend) let him live with us. After about a month, he found an apartment that he could pay for with the help of two other roommates that lived with him. As of today, he continues to live in that apartment with his two roommates. He does not have much contact with his family, except his mom, until they can start supporting him. Charlie obviously gets money from his commissions and from his job at Bed Bath and Beyond but he won’t be able to pay for top surgery for a while because he has to pay rent and pay for all of his other expenses by himself. I started this Gofundme for Charlie because he wouldn’t start it himself. He feels that he shouldn’t have other people pay for his top surgery because he is lucky enough to have money already. We both have two different versions of lucky. I would never look at an 18 year old boy who had to disconnect from his family, move out, and pay for himself as lucky. Charlie might have money to live on his own but he is on the edge. The money that everyone will donate will be going to any top surgery expenses that Charlie may have to face. Top surgery is a surgery you can get to remove your chest. Getting this surgery will stop him from having a lot of dysphoria he gets from having a chest. Even though Charlie is some what young; ever since he was a child ... he felt pain with having a chest. He would often dream about how unbelievably happy he would be to wake up one day and not have the body he had. Charlie would be so unbelievably grateful if ANYONE would donate ANYTHING to his top surgery fund. As a young 18 year old; he has struggled for some many years with trying to push away who he was and now that he has finally come out; the people he love the most has pushed him away. even just Donating one dollar would show him the support that he needs. To everyone that does end up donating; he can’t thank you enough. You are changing someone’s life for the better. Thank you for being the support system he has needed all this time.
