Help Christina get a working car for MN winter

Hello everyone, my name is Christina and I am 20 years old. I have worked as a Direct Support Professional for CLO for almost 2 years directly out of high school to save money for college. I have saved as much as I can, but have now run into a new problem, a failing second gear in my car. Although I have a few options, they are all quite expensive and I don’t have quite enough money saved up. Option A: Buying a “new” remanufactured transmission... I bought a 2002 Honda Accord V6 last year for $2,000 (with 140xxx miles and a salvage title) so I can’t necessarily get a brand new transmission but I can get one that’s remanufactured for 2-3 grand. Option B: Buying a rebuild kit... as this would seemingly be $200 for a rebuild kit, it is still going to be more than I have saved for labor to simply get this done Option C: Buying a new car... I have looked endlessly through FB marketplace, Cars.com, Craiglist, but can only find cars $3,000+ that would be able to run through a Minnesota winter and wouldn’t need to be immediately fixed when I get it. I have also looked at getting a loan for a dealership vehicle, but this would mean I would need full coverage on my vehicle, with my insurance that would mean $400+/month. I am trying to go to school for Science and Health Administrations to further my career in my field. I have gone through financial aid through Colorado Technical School and have already tested out of 1/4 classes to make my tuition cheaper. My classes are supposed to start Oct.6 but as life throws another curveball, it seems I may not be able to go to school. Anything will help! Thank you for taking your time to read my sob story lol, I hope you’re having a lot better week! Christina
