Streets of Memphis

@Streetsofmemphis is a social media account, soon to be published digital magazine. SoM’s primary mission is to highlight the unheard voices, culture, and rich heritage here in the city we call home, Memphis, TN. While the fall/winter seasons are some of the most anticipated seasons of the year for many, that is not the case for the homeless community across the nation. In 2010 The National Coalition for the Homeless found that over 700 people experienced or were at risk from hypothermia that year, while just last year (2019) there were a recorded 15 people whom of which froze to death in the streets of Chicago, IL. This is a matter that must be taken serious! Ergo as the fall/winter season swiftly approaches, our mission at SoM is to raise funds for our brothers and sisters to better prepare them for this upcoming season. Your donations will be utilized to supply many items from weighted blankets, various hygienic products, vital nutritious supplies/meals, etc. Any and all assistance is appreciated and accepted, more than anything we ask for your thoughts and your prayers.
