My name is Yaw Brobbey. Dorothy is my younger sister. Dorothy, is by far the greatest sister any brother can ask for. Caring and helpful, she has been a friend to those in need and a loving daughter and sister.
In January of 2016, Dorothy was diagnosed with Anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis and has been recieving treatment for it since then. She is expected to recover but her recovery process is one that will take time (10-12 months). Family and friends have shown a great deal of support for Dorothy as she continues to undergo treatment.
We have set up this GoFundMe page to help lessen the financial difficulties that comes with treatment, travel expenses and lost wages. This fund will be used to cover medical cost of Dorothy's treatment and support for Dorothy's family.
No donation is small and no gesture is unappreciated. A prayer and words of hope will go a long way. We are highly thankful for the rush of support for Dorothy and her family. Being the older sibling in our family, I have seen Dorothy grow throughout the years and there is no limit to her aspirations. It means more than anything to see my sister recover and return to helping others as she aspires towards her dreams of being a Pediatric Doctor. Dorothy has always loved children and it has shown in her work ethics and involvement in the community. Her family and friends miss her dearly and we patiently wait for her to come home...
