Brooklyn’s Life Changing Seizures

Donation protected
Hi everyone, I’m Brooklyn. I’m a 20 year old young woman whose life forever changed in July 2020. On July 21st, I went to the doctor because I wasn’t feeling right. They sent me to the hospital for an x-ray and on my way out of the hospital, I passed out and fell to the ground. I was rushed to the ER and let go a couple hours later, not feeling any better and with no answers. From there, it only got worse. The next day, I passed out 42 times. So my fiancé took me to a different hospital’s ER and they basically gave me no answers either. On July 23rd, I got up to use the restroom that morning and passed out, hitting my head on the bathtub and causing amnesia. When I came to, I had no clue where I was, what day or year it was, or who I was with. 911 was called and I was transported to Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign, IL, by ambulance. I was hospitalized for three days and many tests were ran, but no answers were found. I went to the neurologist and they ruled out epilepsy. Fast forward a little over two months later, and I’m still having these episodes. On September 28th, I fell in the bathroom, hitting my head on the tub yet again, causing even more amnesia. Later that day, I fell two more times, the last time, busting my head open and having to go to the ER. There, I was diagnosed with psychogenic syncope, or PNES, which is more commonly known as psychogenic non-epileptic seizures. Throughout all of this, I have been on leave of absence since July 21, 2020, and am not expected to return to work anytime soon per doctors orders. They will not and cannot release me to return to work because I don’t know when or where these episodes will happen. Because of that, my fiancé and I have become at risk of losing our home and our car, simply because we cannot afford our bills solely on his income. If you choose to donate, the money will be used for bills and trips back and forth to doctors appointments in an effort to treat these seizures. If you cannot donate, please share. We would very much appreciate any and all help given to us. Thank you so much for reading this, as well as your thoughts and prayers.
