Your friend Tom needs your help!

So basically, I am trying to raise $3k to pay off a pending eviction, caused by my ex girlfriend, who you all know. The lease was in my name, and I was unaware of the situation until I got a call to say I was being evicted. Which I thought was strange, since the lease was supposed to be transferred to the Ex's name.

My friends and I in LA are having a garage sale to help raise some of the cost, but many of the NYC peeps have asked how they could help.  My friends, Jess & Jarrett, came up with this idea, and I am posting it if you want to help, you can donate a couple of bucks. So virtual garage sale! lol. Thank you for your help! The full story is below:

Here is my story... Most of you know me, and know that I have a big stupid heart. Years ago I met a girl, she and I became fast friends. Before we knew it we where dating and then living together.

This Girl, (whom will remand nameless) was not liked or loved by any of you. But I cared for her. She seemed to be loyal to me and I truly thought I had found my soul mate.

I took her side on everything. I protected her, and even lost a couple of you as friends because of it. (This is my biggest regret in life.)

I have always tried to help people in need. I don't want to sound like a douche bag, but many of you know how far I go for a friend. How much I care for a stranger, and how I can't walk away when someone is in need.

Anyways, I paid all of the girl's bills, and kept her alive for 5 years. Then one day it wasn't enough, and I broke up with her and moved to LA.

Six months later I got a call from many of our mutual friends. (some of you are reading this now)

She had lost her job at the production house and was not eating. Our old roommates said she was not paying her share of the bills, and even over charging them for utilities to try to make money for food. I felt HORRIBLE. Here I was in sunny California living the dream, and she was dying. Literally dying. I took her side on the NYC matter (I am sorry A and C, but I believed her, cause she had never once made me feel like she would lie to me).

I flew to NYC, packed her in a truck, and drove her to LA. There, she stayed with me for what was supposed to me a couple of months.

Then, I met Nikki. You all know and love her. I had to choose between helping my Ex and moving on with my life with Nikki.

So I did what I thought at the time was the right thing to do. I moved into another apartment, and signed over the lease of my old apt to my ex. (Her credit was not great, and it was easier for me to move than her).

I helped her get a job, and introduced her to all of my great friends here in LA. I even let her borrow my car, while she saved up for her own.

Flash forward a year... she crashed the car. And it was her fault, and both cars in the accident were totaled. I was paid 4000 for my car, but still owe 400 to the lease agency. No big deal, things happen.

But then I found out that She was also being evicted from her apartment. She had failed to sign the final paperwork on the Apt, and it was still in my name. So now I have no car, and an eviction on my record. I have to pay $3k to the apartment complex or be taken to court for the eviction.

I sold my motorcycle (those of you who know me, know how much of a big deal this is. I loved that bike) ... and now am trying to scrap together the rest of the money so I can replace my car and pay off the eviction.

I'm not expecting anyone to drop tons of cash. So if you ever wanted to buy me a beer, drop that $5 here. (that rhymed, lol)

I'm so grateful for all my friends, you guys mean more to me than you know.
