Please help nurse get her license back

Hello! My name is Teri and i am very grateful to be here. I am a domestic violence survivor from southeast North Carolina.
Needless to say I was in this situation for some years. Finally only able to break away as a result of my injury and the lack of compassion resulting from it.
After working in many facilities over my career I was scheduled to start in our local trauma hospital the following day. That evening I was standing in front of our fireplace while my husband was laying on the couch. As the conversation went on it started to become uncomfortable for him. He told me not to f ck with him and i never saw it coming. He jumped off of the couch and kicked me in my right shoulder massively tearing my rotator cuff. I never said a word. All I could do was curl up on my bed and cry silently. I did start at the hospital the following day. My arm was useless. As time went on it never got
any better. I could only move it by picking it up with my left hand. I put him out of my house at that point . Didn't answer his calls or speak to him for 8 years after that. I lost my nursing license and got on disability. Ultimately looseing my house. I have had to have multiple survey's , 12 so far, and moved in with my mother. She had just been diagnosed with multiple myeloma. I stayed with her until she passed last November. She was my savior for I was able to be there for her and she for me. She had left me enough money that i was able to buy a small mobile home that i now live in. I am not homeless thanks to her. I dont have much coming in . Disability pays what of my bills it can and i receive food stamps so i can eat. I'm scheduled to have my final surgery in January 2021 at Duke University in Raleigh NC. I will have a prosthetic shoulder that will restore 75% use of my arm back. I have recently been in touch with the NC Board of Nursing. They are willing to let me in a program to get my nursing license back. This will take aproxamently a year and is a little bit pricey. I will have to accomplish several things and each one will cost. Then i take a refresher course that will transition me back into practice. I am so excited they are giving me this opportunity. The only way I can do it is if i get the help financially. I would be so grateful if there are people out there willing to assist me in getting back on my own two feet. I look forward to coming off all public assistance. I promise I will be the best nurse i can be. I will also be able to pay this forward in my near future. Thank you for taking the time to read my plea and if you can help in any way God will bless you in his way. I thank you sincerely. Teri
