Beautiful Baby Rocky Wright.

Donation protected
Hello everyone and thank you so, so much for taking the time to read about this unfortunate situation.

As some of you may or may not know, I am Dara Eckel, a very close friend to Micki and Tyson from Camrose, Alberta. I am writing this in hopes to raise money for this beautiful family who could really use and will appreciate the extra help through this time. If you can not donate just please keep reading about their situation and pray. All we do now is pray. Thank you, again.

Micki and Tyson were SO excited to announce to the world they were expecting another baby! Rylie Ann is going to become a big sister (Rylie is 2 years old)! How exciting for the family! Micki's pregnancy started off like any other, until she began feeling some cramping and unexpected bleeding shortly into her pregnancy: a scare to every pregnant mother. Micki was then told she had a subchorionic hemorrhage that progressively grew over time (usually it resolves itself and women can go on and have a healthy full-term pregnancy). In rare cases, the bleed can cause the placenta to separate from the uterine wall, linked to miscarriage or pre-term babies. On Monday, the 9th of May, Micki went to her OBGYN doctor due to lower abdominal cramps. The doctor immediately sent Micki to the Royal Alex hospital to the high risk unit. Once Micki arrived, she had many tests done. One test informed her that her hemorrhage was 10 cm long and 3 cm wide! Micki was this rare case.

Micki had started Beta shots to help mature her baby's lungs in case of an early delivery and was given an IV because of low amniotic fluid surrounding the baby. Her baby was already bigger in size than a normal baby at 23.5 weeks gestation -- something that was just so incredible. It was also the reason Micki was able to start Beta shots so early!

Micki once again felt cramping. This time in denial she knew it was labour pains. The baby was coming.
At this point, Micki was 24 weeks 5 days. I can't imagine the emotional state she was in, as Tyson was unable to be there due to work. And because Micki lives out of town, she was alone during labour. She was having this baby at only 24 weeks into her pregnancy.

I received a text from Micki, "He is here Dara, OMG he is so tiny."
Rocky James Oliver Wright was born. Weighing 1 pound 9 ounces, 15 weeks 2 days premature. Baby Rocky was taken away immediately to the NICU. The amazing thing about this little fella is that he took a breath the moment he came out!! He already is a fighter!! Normally, babies born this early need assistance breathing right away. But not this little cutie!!

The next few hours, days, and months are all a waiting game. Micki, Tyson and the rest of the family are very emotional, stressed and always unsure of the outcome. Never knowing what to expect next on your

helpless baby is a feeling that no parent should ever endure. Unfortunately, I can relate to this feeling because my son had major complications when he was born. I am now finding it so difficult to see my best friend go through this. The roller coaster of emotions and unsureness will last for months to come.

Baby Rocky was taken up to the NICU and placed into isolette, where he will now live for the next few hard months. Rocky is hooked up to all kinds of machines and gets light therapy all day. Baby Rocky just had to get intubated, to help him breath and keep his heart rate up, as it kept dropping.

Needless to say, the next while for the Wright family is going to be tough. Tyson wants nothing more than to be with his new baby boy and Micki in this tough time. But, unfortunately, Tyson is the only income to the family right now. He needs to work in order to make ends meet. The two parents also barely get to see their daughter, Rylie Ann, throughout all of this. Micki has not seen Rylie in 2 weeks. Luckily, I have had the opportunity to hang out with her for the next while. But mommy and daddy sure miss her.

I just want to try and raise a few bucks for this family, especially to allow Tyson to be able to take some personal time off work and not have to worry about the financial loss. I also want this money to help cover costs of food, accommodations and anything else that may come up at this time.

There is no dollar amount too small, anything helps, and will be immensely appreciated. If you are unable to donate, just PLEASE keeps this family in your thoughts and prayers and wish for the best outcome possible. Little Rocky has a LONG road ahead of him, and, really, at anytime, a small hiccup could occur and anything could happen. At this point we are also unsure of how Rocky's development will be come future, if he needs extra medical attention or assistance at home, I would like to have this money to help out with future expenses for the family due to Ricky's medical care.

Thank you all for taking the time out of your day to read this and your consideration to help out this deserving family in need. We will try and keep updates as much as possible. Please keep in mind Micki and Tyson are very emotinally occupied during this time. However, they GREATLY appreciate all your support and know you're all standing behind them.

Please help us share this story.

Wishing you guys all the best, and love you all so much.

Thank you♡
