Lorraine Stiggers Transportation

Hello all, this is the story;

My name is Alleta Stiggers- LaGrange and my mother, Dr. Lorraine James- Stiggers had a hemorrhagic stroke on August 13, 2016 at church which caused a blood clot in her brain. She made it to the hospital in time and there was a surgeon that was will to do what he could to help. She went through surgery and he was able to remove the clot and stop the bleeding. Since that time she has been in some what of a comatose state at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria Louisiana. The hospital has done what they can to stabilize her and keep her comfortable. Her blood pressure is relatively stable, heart rate is good and since yesterday she is breathing on her own and that is truly a blessing. She has not regained full consciousness yet and there are some things that she needs to help her progress that the hospital cannot provide. Even though much of her family,  her home and more resources are in Dallas Texas; the insurance company is not willing to pay for her transport from Alexandria Louisiana to Dallas Texas. So the burden has been placed on us to pay upfront the cost to transport her to where she needs to be and we just don't have that.  It is preferable and more affordable to fly and so we are trying to raise $7,800 before September 16, 2016 to pay for the transport to the hospital/rehab.
