Ever since i was in special education during elementary and high school, ive always wanted to drive a car, this was more evident during my highschool years, (1978-82) i took a drivers education course in high school, and past the course just to drive with an adult before i thought i was to receive my drivers liscence. But i was living in a group home from 1979-82 during highschool in vancouver bc, i only drove once and that was that. They didnt continue to let me drive ( with an adult ) because they the staff were always busy, didnt have time for me, they didnt want to care etc! Was it because i have a learning disability, ( which i have ) or just because i lived in a group home? Now, i am 57 years old and want to learn to drive a car, i heard of young drivers of canada and they teach defensive, safe driving practices, etc. I dont want to own a car but it would be neat to drive. I would like to have a drivers licsence before i reach 60 that is my goal.
Thankyou for understanding.
