A couple of weeks ago i found myself in a curious and very frustrating postion. Like many other motorist worldwide, soon after exiting the freeway I had a blowout. For some odd reason AAA was not available for up to 4 hours later. It was after 6pm. All of the tire shops were closed and i had a very important appointment set for 7 am. the next morning. Needless to say things did not go well. I looked into roadside tire assistance through google and everything was appointment based.(Who would have figured?) No appointments were available for at least a month. The problem being that the only vehicles available for said services were commercial trucks. I was taken aback. So commercial vehicles are the only ones important enough to get roadside tire service? I beg to differ. I would like to start a towing / tire removal,repair/ shuttle service. It would allow for a tow service to that would take your vehicle to a tire repair shop of your choice or our own shop, and a shuttle service if needed because you never know when you might get a flat on your way to a meeting or an emergency situation. I'm raising funds to set up three complete locations which would include offices ,stockrooms and warehouses. A fleet of trucks which to be retrofitted with additional Hardware necessary to perform proper towing functions. funding also goes towards Licensing, insurance and bonding .It is a business but it's a business I have invisioned for the best interest of the consumer . I believe that the standard rate that tow trucks charge to show up is a bit exorbitant. I would like to set our fee at $40 instead of $75.
