Black Farm Raised Roots Needs Farm Equipment

Donation protected
We’re raising funds in order to participate in this weekends farm equipment auction in California’s Central Valley.

For those who don’t know, Raised Roots is a multifaceted Black-owned farm operation in Oakland and Livermore. We produce olive oil and maintain crops at a number of locations throughout Alameda County for sale at farmers markets, to chefs, grocery stores, and individuals. Currently we farm exclusively by hand, with the occasional help from a small walk-behind tractor.

We have a wish list that includes the following, and we will be watching them closely at the auction.

VEHICLES
40-100hp tractor
Farm truck
ATV/UTV
Forklift
10-16ft trailer
Shipping Container for storage

IMPLEMENTS
Disk
Harrow
Tiller
Ripper
Bed shaper
Blade
Cultivator
Plow

We recognize this is short notice, but what we need is to be prepared to purchase some of these items to make next year the best year yet.

Thank you for your continued support,

Jamil Burns
