Dublin International Handball Club (DI HC) is an Olympic handball team based in Dublin, Ireland. We are Ireland´s most successful club both nationally and internationally with the men’s team securing eight national champion titles, four Cup titles and 4 European Challenge Cup participations, including a European match win. Our woman’s team has won 2 national championships and one cup title.
As National Champions, the club qualifies for one of Europe’s premier handball tournaments, the EHF Cup and the chance to represent Ireland in a major European competition.
DI HC possesses national team players from Ireland and a few former youth internationals from other European countries.
As part of our ten year anniversary, we are trying something different in the hope we can secure some desperately needed funding to continue our adventure and bring handball to Ireland and Irish school children, all while increasing the sports popularity.
Because of our ten year anniversary, we will be hosting a celebratory, international tournament here in Dublin with teams from all over Europe coming to compete.
DI HC is a fully player funded club and is at present unable to attract any external sponsorship to continue our project due to the sports development in Ireland. And so we hope that through Fund Me we can raise funds to continue offering our local community a stable and competitive club.
Our vision for the club is to bring handball to the forefront of Irish children’s mind and help increase the interest of the sport.
Any funds raised through Fund Me will go towards securing the club's future by investing in our junior department, equipment for all teams including player kits, balls and hall rentals, as well as competing in next years EHF Cup.
The clubs name represents the team very well. A team that brings people from all nationalities and faiths together in the name of sport, we believe that our club can help make our community stronger. We currently have +12 nationalities and +15 languages represented.
