Help Bring Our Rescue Fur Babies Home!

Hi everyone! Thanks for checking in!
Im trying to raise money to bring my fur babies home. Throughout my travels it absolutely breaks my heart to find so many homeless abandoned dogs on the streets, suffering from neglect, abuse, starvation, road side injury' unfortunately I cannot change the world but I can absolutely do my bit by giving my fur babies a loving home. Upon my travels in Peru we found...or shall I say they found us, two amazing abandoned dogs.

According to locals, Safi (black cross) appeared on the streets for 3 years ago.
Her hair and skin was in bad condition when we found her and naturally boney and underweight. Understandably she is a little cautious and weary of others as local street workers would throw water on her and hit her with sticks as they view the street dogs as a nuisance and believe their presence effects their business. Upon our early morning beach runs Safi adopted us! She would run along side us and follow us home, wait for us until we came out the apartment and stay by our side. One day she got distracted by friendly tourists with food, we didnt see her again that day. However rest assured the next morning she was waiting for us for our daily adventure and from that moment has never left our side in fear of abandonment. In the house she is as good as gold and its hard to believe that she hasnt been trained and with us since a pup. She is still in need of much love and TLC and will break into a state of deperation if we go out without her, screaming, whining and howling in desperation and fear. We are working on measures to calm her, it will take time and patience however we adore her, she is our baby and we will not give up. I cannot bare the thought of her being abandoned again simply for loving her owners too much.

Then came baby Luna (goldren cross). In our first few weeks with Safi after visiting the market with a bag of fresh dog food whilst walking home a tiny bundle of fluff appeared from no where at our feet smelling out the food and wagging her tail so hard it could fall off! It quickly became evident she was in a really bad way. Not much older than 8 weeks she was skin and bone, covered in mites and tics. We asked the locals of she belonged to anyone, who responded in laughter and said 'she is just a street dog'. We scooped her up in that moment ready to take her to the vets for treatment. She was so thin it felt like her bones were tissue paper and could snap if we held her too tight. We paid for her treatment at the vets who bathed her, removed more than 200 tics, gave her plenty of shots supplements and had her on a drip. They were unsure if she would survive the next few days. We knew deep down we couldnt take another dog however we couldn't bring ourselves to leave her behind. So we paid for a treatment plan and said we would nurse her to health and then find her a loving home. Several months followed back and forth to the vets, her immune system was very weak and she was prone to everything. During Covid lockdown vets were closed so i spent a lot of time reaching out to friends and vet nurses for advice on how to self treat her episodes at home. And of course. She stole our hearts!

We now have two incredible dogs who we adore. With the situation in Peru spiralling out of control with Covid and the danger of theft crime and murder I have moved back to the UK to raise money to bring them home here while my partner takes care of them and completes the neccessary papers and requirements for the move.
It is however extremly expensive, with a cost of almost $7000 to bring them home. Please find a detailed breakdown of these neccessary costs below.
We cannot bare the thought of leaving them behind or rehoming them to find them yet again abandoned and back on the streets. With that said, we are asking for your help. If you can find it in your hearts to donate no matter how big or small it will truly mean the world to us and our poor fur babies lives. As i said, ideally i would love to change the world and provide loving homes for every abandoned homeless animal out there...this is a start :)

Thank you so much for listening to their story. If you are unable to donate we thank you regardless for listening and please ask for you to share their story onwards in hope of us raising the neccessary funds to bring them home. For all of you by donating and sharing you really are changing their lives and helping them have the love and life they deserve.

Thank you so much everyone.

Safi, Luna & Walter and Samantha
