Memorial Fund For My Father

Dear Dad,
I still am lost for words. I still can't grasp the fact that you are gone. This happened so suddenly and nobody would have thought this is how we got to say goodbye. You have been the most kind hearted, caring person I knew. Always willing to help others no matter what it was. Taking people into our home when they faced homelessness. The first to jump when someone needed support and help. Always smiling and remind people to not give up hope when facing a dark situation. You have been the rock in my life and my son's life and it is hard to let you go.

His life motto:  For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another (1 John 3:11)

On September 2th, 2020 at 11.07 I received a phone call from my mother to rush to my parent's house because my father suffered a stroke. On September 4th, 2020 my father would have turned 67.

I was completely caught of guard because I just saw him the night before and he was completely healthy.

There was nothing anyone could do for him because his brain stem was completely damaged.

On September 3rd, 2020 the doctors already told us he was gone so now we looked if we could grant him the wish of him being able to save someone else's life through his death via organ donation. His heart was to help people and for people to have a better life.

Unfortunately we could not grant him that wish and on September 5th, 2020 he finally transitioned into peace.

I am raising this money in memory of him and to help my mother with his funeral and aftercare.

My father was one of the most kind people I've knew. Always helping others. Always the first to jump when someone needed anything. He was a devout Christian and I got to say if I know any prime example of how to do religion right it was him. He gave his life for others. "LOVING the hell out of people" as he would say.

He was a husband, a father and grandfather. A man who was loved by all he came in contact with.

He was the man by my mother's side for 41 years

He was the rock and father figure in my son's life.

My mother is devastated because that was her husband of 41 years together. I want her to be able to grieve and not having to worry about the financial part.

I know we all have been hit by COVID so I am grateful for everyone who is willing to help no matter how small it is. I want to be able to give her a little something at least that eases the financial burden she is facing right now.

We have lost an amazing person. The rock of my family. The father figure in my son's life.
He lived a pure life with a pure heart.

Dad, you will never be forgotten. Even though you are gone now you have left an impact in people's lives, hearts and spirits. Your legacy will live on and you will live on in the hearts in all the people you have impacted with your unconditional love. I just hope I will make you proud and be able to live up to the standard you set in my life when it comes to loving people unconditionally. You might be gone in the physical but I will carry you and your love and your words of wisdom and encouragement in my heart and spirit with me until the day I die. I feel privileged and honored that I was able to be a the daughter of a man of integrity, love and wisdom. We miss you dad.

The donations will be given to my mother and will be used to help my mother with the funeral costs, mental and grief counseling and to help her cope and adjust in the days ahead.
