Julia's Fight Against Brain Cancer

We are the Ervin family and Julia is the big sister. On February 19, 2013 she was diagnosed with brain cancer. Excruciating headaches and loss of mobility on her left side sent her to the hospital, where they found cancerous tumors on the right side of her brain. Our goal is to help raise money that she will need to help with the medical expenses, treatment as well as to help with everyday care and living expenses that she will need. Her first radiation treatment was February 22, 2013. She will be undergoing 2 weeks of extensive radiation treatment.

Julia is 42 and a mother of 3 great boys, and two beautiful grandchildren. She is a very active and vivacious woman. Her smile lights up a room, and she loves to make people laugh. Right now she is climbing a mountain, but not a mountain that she expected, nor wanted to climb. She is an avid hiker and also runs marathons. Her positive attitude is keeping her strong and her will to fight this is one of the most amazing things we have ever seen.

The medical treatment is going to be quite expensive. She does not have medical insurance. The family will need all the help and support that they can get to help her through this battle. Julia is not able to work due to the illness, and can no longer support her daily living expenses, on top of the medical bills that will now be coming in.

Any donation help, support, words of encouragement, prayers and kindness that you can offer will help tremendously. Julia is a people person, she loves people and her bubbly personality just draws people in. She is one of those people who you want to see when you are having a bad day, because you know just one smile will make you feel better. Even during this time, she is still making people laugh and smile. She is truly an amazing woman, with such a strong will.
