Save B Ward!

B Ward is a non-profit autonomous space allowing the punk community, along with the residents of Hochelaga, Montreal to have access to a space to participate/organize social and cultural activities. The pandemic situation makes the sustainability of the project difficult since we were unable to do concerts at the B Ward because of the small capacity of the venue considering the social distanciation. So far, different sources of income made it possible to pay rent and electricity. But the reality is that now we don’t have the money to cover the expenses for next month. We are aware that there is a lot of fundraiser campaigns, all for really important matters. We have tried to avoid doing one ourselves but we are at a point where we don’t really have choice. We think that it is important to have a space like B Ward in our community and we are asking for your help because the weight is heavy on our shoulders. The money raised by this campaign will remove stress on the organization and allow us to have time and energy to focus on the diversification of our activities, ways to occupy the space, finding new sources of incomes, etc. The money raised by this campaign will exclusively go to pay the rent and the utilities. Any extra money will be donated to political or social groups in needs.
