250miles for Prostate

This January, Sonny and I will be running 250 miles between us, finishing with a half-marathon, in an effort to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. After having such a unorthodox and challenging year, one that was full of hardships in 2020, we thought that we could start 2021 by doing something positive while raising money to support a good cause.  

Every 45mins, one man dies from prostate cancer.  More than 47,500 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every and it's predicted that prostate cancer will be the most common cancer in the UK by 2030. Prostate Cancer UK work by improving diagnosis, treatment, support, and prevention but research into prostate cancer and services for men who have the disease needs more funding.

A few years ago, Sonny lost his dad to prostate cancer and so supporting Prostate Cancer UK to help them with their mission is very important to us. Any donation, no matter how small or large, can go a long way and would be immensely appreciated. 

Here are some examples of how this money may be used be Prostate Cancer UK: 
£25 could pay for a Specialist nurse for one hour, helping provide essential medical, practical and emotional support to men and the families of men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
£100 could cover the cost of analysing 6 blood samples to help research.
£1000 could pay for an entire weeks worth of research into, treatment, diagnosis, and prevention of prostate cancer.
