250000 Surgical Masks for Frontline Health Workers

As a healthcare professional at the front lines of this Covid-19 pandemic, I know firsthand the shortage in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) we are currently facing. Doctors, nurses, healthcare professionals and first responders nation-wide are, out of necessity, having to ration PPE, specifically surgical masks, in the thick of this deadly pandemic. While the community at large is being asked to stay home to prevent the spread of this virus, healthcare workers and first responders continue to work tirelessly to treat all patients in need, including those inflicted by Covid-19. Be mindful that these “essential workers” are putting their lives on the line, and their own families at risk, to protect the general public. Without sufficient PPE, all patients face risk of transmission if they are in contact with healthcare professionals. Brain Changes Initiative has made a point of prioritizing this pandemic at the forefront to protect our valiant healthcare workers, first responders, and their families respectively, so that they in turn can safely protect everyone else.
Brain Changes Initiative is happy to announce that we have secured a supply and are looking to purchase 250,000+ surgical masks for immediate delivery to frontline healthcare workers and their families across the province. Given the gravity of our current healthcare situation world-wide we are setting the bar extremely high. I know we are all concerned about what is happening globally right now and are looking for ways to be proactive. As healthcare workers, we hear/feel the appreciation every evening around 730pm as you show your unified support through the banging of pots. I know times are tough economically for everyone right now, but if we band together, we can get ahead of this thing. Even a small donation will go a long way.

The purchases consist of 50 surgical masks/box and our goal is to deliver boxes directly to the homes of these frontline workers across Ontario. Of note, the price is $100/box of 50 surgical masks. Brain Changes Initiative is a non-profit organization, meaning that majority of our proceeds raised will go directly towards the purchase and shipment of this essential equipment, with a small sum of the proceeds directed towards our research initiatives.
