Send Teacher to Learn- Africa!

The Backstory

Next year I will celebrate 25 years of service as an educator! I have had a terrific career teaching K-University, and I love learning. I would like to celebrate my 25th anniversary of teaching by traveling to South Africa to study the history, culture, and education system.  As a teacher I am asked to develop intercultural awareness in my students, so it is important for me to further develop this awareness in myself.

The school where I work has an honors course going to South Africa next year. Without help, however, I could not afford to go on my teacher salary alone.  I am excited about the possibility of spending my next birthday on the continent of Africa as I have never been to Africa before!

How You Can Help

The money I raise will help pay for the cost of airfare to Johannesburg, transport to Cape Town, lodging, and meals for two weeks. My first goal is to raise $500 by September 30, 2018. 

How I Will Give Back

Those donating $50 or more will be invited to a special vision board workshop facilitated by me!  The workshop will be held in  Los Angeles on Dec. 2, 2018. Participants  will have the opportunity to create a vision board and set powerful intentions for 2019.
