IVDD back surgery so he can have his legs again.

Hi everyone Reese is a miniature Dachshund ( he is 5 years old ) who was just recently diagnose with IVDD. He got paralyze just recently trying to defend our 4 year old little girl from someone who knocked at our door. We took him to the ER and was given the only option which is surgery so he can have his legs back. We could not afford surgery so we took him back home with Steroids and pain meds , but the chances of recovery with meds are pretty slim. He has been depressed and realize he can’t run around with our little girl. I was told by the doctor is only a matter of time before he losses feeling in his back legs and goes paralyzed. It feels like a ticking bomb “. It breaks our heart seeing him like this. He is not able to potty unless we compress his bladder which is very difficult. Our hope is that he can have his feet again so he may run and play with out little girl. Reese has been our best friend and is like a son to us. Any donations would be a miracle to our family and to him. Even if you can’t donate a prayer is more than enough. Thank you for taking the time to read our story !! Believing for the best
