Chiropractic Mission Trip to Fiji

Donation protected
Thank you for checking out my page to see what I am up to! Currently, I am finishing wrapping my first year of a 3-and-a-half-year doctorate program at Life Chiropractic College West. I’ve truly found my passion in life and have been dedicating countless hours learning and training to be the best doctor of chiropractic I can be.
Most people relate chiropractic to neck and back pain issues, but I’ve come to learn that chiropractic is MUCH more than pain. The brain, spinal cord, and nervous system control each aspect of the human body. The human spine houses and protects the spinal cord which also has nerves traveling outward to all the muscles and organs of your body. Often times life’s stresses, such as stress, depression, anxiety, poor habits, diet, accidents, concussions, sports injuries, work posture, or repetitive imbalanced movements may cause our joints to shift or become misaligned in order to compensate for these stressors. This misalignment limits the ability of the nerve to send and receive signals to vital organs and muscles, which limits the body’s natural ability to heal. A chiropractic adjustment realigns the joint to clear the nervous systems path in order to send and receive signals too and from the brain so that our body can heal on its own and function at its optimal level.               I have the opportunity to travel to Fiji next spring on a chiropractic service trip run by the South Pacific Chiropractic Clinic Abroad (SPCCA), from March 23rd-April 2nd, 2017. The SPCCA is a non profit organization dedicated to sharing chiropractic to the South Pacific who don’t have access to chiropractic care. I will be traveling with many other classmates from Life West, students from other chiropractic colleges, along with licensed doctors from all over the country to provide FREE chiropractic care and bring awareness of the profession to people of Fiji. Over 10 days our group will analyze and adjust hundreds of people in different locations around the islands. This will require us to step up our training of analyzing and adjusting prior to the trip to be capable to provide the best chiropractic care possible. This opportunity will be beneficial for the hundreds of people that receive care, but also an important learning experience for me and my classmates to sharpen our methods of analyzing and adjusting the body.
Being a full-time student, I am unable to fund this trip on my own. The cost of the trip will be 3,000; which includes flights, accommodations, transport, food, basic amenities, medical supplies and the 8% commission that GoFundMe charges. This will be due by Nov. 5th 2016.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to even read this far and I’m reaching out to friends and family in order to help me raise money so that I may attend this valuable trip. Any amount of donation will make all the difference and I will be extremely grateful for your support. If you would rather donate directly, please contact me at [email redacted] I’d love to hear from all of you and I will continue to be working hard to improve as a future chiropractor
