Save Our Shelton Legal Fees for P&Z

We are Save Our Shelton, an 800 strong and rapidly growing  community of Shelton Residents and Friends of Shelton that is fighting to maintain quality of life in Shelton through responsible zoning that protects the rights and investments of all residents of Shelton.  https://www.facebook.com/SaveOurShelton/ We are raising money for legal fees to fight the proposed zone change from R-1/ LIP to PDD (residential single family homes on a single acre and light industrial with stringent height and spacing requirements to a Planned Development District which means the site is made open to any kind of development whatsoever), to allow for the Shelter Ridge LLC development which calls for a Trumbull mall sized commercial development with a proportional amount of parking plus a  highrise 9-story 450 unit tower complex, including outdoor Olympic-sized pool and fire pits abutting R-1 neighborhoods and city owned open space earmarked for the Paugusset Trail expansion to Stratford. The heavily forested land is currently undeveloped and very beautiful.  It is the last parcel of its size in Shelton to remain open.

We need the funds immediately to pay for experts to testify at the Shelton Planning and Zoning public hearing on May 31 on behalf of residents of Shelton, including an engineering, traffic and soil expert as well as the legal team.
