Help Rex Brown

Donation protected
My name is Leslie Prillaman and I am the 4-H Extension Agent in Roanoke.  I am reaching out to the 4-H community and the horse community to ask for help for a long-time 4-H Volunteer, Rex Brown.   Yesterday afternoon, while helping me secure 4-H camp horses for the W.E. Skelton 4-H Center, Rex had a horrible horse accident.  The horse he was on flipped over backwards and landed on top of Rex.  It was by far the most horrific horse accident I have ever seen.   He will be out of work for many months-as he is a farrier.
Any of you who are lucky enough to call Rex a friend, also knows that he never says no to anyone who needs help from him.  He is the first person to offer to haul a horse, provide a horse for someone, help you get your horse on a trailer, take a new rider on their first trail ride, get on that naughty horse for you; I could go on and on.  This is a man that never asks for anything, but is ALWAYS the first to offer his help, his time, his wisdom, his humor,  his resourses.

Yesterday, he took a day off to help us find suibable horses for use at 4-H Camp.

Rex would never ask for help-but, he would be the first person to help somone else.  The funds raised will go to pay his bills for the many months he will be off work, and to help with his hospital bills.

Rex's first comment to me on the phone today was,"that was a pretty sneaky way to get all of my horses for 4-H camp this summer!"  His upbeat, postive attitude is what endears us all to this wonderful man.

Thanking you in advance for anything  you can contribute to help.
