Shared Accommodations Lost in Fire

Donation protected
The massive wildfire that has ravaged through many parts of Fort McMurray and that is continuing to cause devastation in the surrounding areas has affected many people. Like so many others, a handful of first responders have also been affected. I’m writing this on behalf of my partner Alan Gammon and his co-workers Quinn Archibald, Ben Penner, Sina Betschart, Leslie Ann Chapman, and Mike Schmidt who have lost their home and possessions, and in spite of that, continue to work up in Fort McMurray.

Majority of these individuals were living in shared accommodations within the same housing complex. The others have lost their homes to this very destructive fire. The group is asking kind and generous family, friends and members of the public to help them re-establish themselves.

Most of this group lost all of their possessions in this fire, and some do not have insurance to help them acquire new possessions. Donations will go towards all six individuals to help them get back on their feet.

I know I am thankful for the people who remain on site, helping get Fort McMurray up and running again. To show our gratitude, I hope we can get this group of hard-working people who are tirelessly working in Fort McMurray a helping hand.

I am so thankful for any help that is extended to these fine people - every small bit helps! So thank you in advance for your amazing generosity - it is truly appreciated!
