<div>My name is Bobby. I unfortunately have high grade neuroendocrine carcinoma, a rare aggressive form of cancer. It has landed on my colon, couple lymph nodes, spine, and in/on liver. I was hopeful that I could continue my work as freelance backline tech and freelance sound tech. Unfortunately, chemotherapy will not allow me to work much (if at all). The discovery phase ran into a lot of botched appointments. I ended up being hospitalized for about a week and a half. In the meantime, with the botched appointments and nearly two months of discovery the bills just kept piling up. It’s very humbling even asking for help. My wife is a doula, and is putting in as much work as she can. But due the “on paper” amount she makes, we don’t qualify for any financial help. So, I am at a loss of a solution outside of this. Appreciate yall’s generosity. I will pass it forward tenfold when/if time allows. Much love

<div>A little background of who I am for the friends of friends helping out. I am the father to a 7year old. Her birthday was/is April 18th. I have worn a number of hats from sound and lighting to service industry. Prior to covid I was the owner of a pedicab company. I sold the business and worked at a homeless shelter during covid. I moved on from that to the industry I truly loved working in, the live production work. It’s not been a grandiose life, but I have had a lot of adventures. But life in survival mode (check out the link posted at the top of the story) has caught up to me. It happens. I’m doing my best to focus my mind on healing. Appreciate everyone. <div><em>Instead, say things like “it’s great to see you out”… Words of encouragement. Why make me think about something that I am trying not to let me consume me? And what are you sorry for? You didn’t infect me. If I need help, I will ask. I am not as strong as i used to be. This cancer has taken away a lot of my core strength. On the flipside, if you see me doing something. Let me give it a go. I have to test my boundaries and abilities on a regular basis. Some I will struggle with, but if it is too much I will let you know. I am humbling myself constantly. My will is strong still. Just want this to be understood by my community. I want to make the most of the time I am gifted with yall. I’m forever grateful and appreciate the support that has been given to my family in the means of funding to just the checking in on my loved ones. This is especially hard on them, cause they feel the most helpless.</em>
