24 Hours of Homelessness

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,

The students in the Community and Justice Services program at Algonquin College are participating in 24 Hours of Homelessness. This is the 13th year of our annual event which raises funds and awareness about the youth homelessness issues in Ottawa. I’ll be joining a group of my classmates, in Minto Park, on September 29 and September 30 (4 p.m. to 4 p.m.), and we would really appreciate if you could donate to our cause.

The majority of the money raised will go to Operation Come Home (50%) which is a local agency that helps hundreds of at-risk and homeless youth access the services and support they need. A portion of the funds raised will go to our program’s emergency bursary (40%) to support students who are in need of financial assistance and a small portion will go to our class fund (10%).

We appreciate your support this year! Our goal is to raise $10,000, and we know we can achieve this goal but not without community support. We would also love to see you come out and visit us during this event!

On behalf of the graduating class of 2018, we thank you in advance! Community and Justice Services, Algonquin College
