Earlier this year our little Noah was diagnosed with Pitt Hopkins syndrome, PTHS is a rare but severe neurological disorder,
Noah has faced the last year and a half with many challenges including daily seizures, gut dysmotiliy, repeat chest infections, months with non stop vomiting due to severe reflux, surgeries that didn't go to plan, severe delayed development and the inability to do many things that kids he's age are able to do.
I am incredibly happy that we have a diagnosis of Pitt Hopkins but that itself brings a hole new set of challenges and a hole other of unknowns that Noah now faces.
Due to Pitt Hopkins being so rare the funding is practically non existent, in the ahort term Noah is in need of some much needed medical equipment including a supportive pram, bath support and a standing frame which will help strengthen the muscles in his legs and hopefully help him to stand and maybe one day walk the cost of this equipments is high in total around $16,000 .
The standing frame alone is upwards of $4000 and in order to receive government funding we may have to wait up to 12 months and considering he needs it sooner rather than later I thought I'd try this crowd funding campaign which along with my savings will help us purchase this piece of equipment.
