My Attorney Fund

Hey there, my name is Jessie.

Six weeks ago my boyfriend of 8 months assaulted me after refusing to let me leave his place after a disagreement. I was punched, kicked and choked by him and now I am trying to raise money for an attorney to get a restraining order.  At the first court date, he had an attorney and it was obvious I needed someone to help me. I have reached out to legal aid and advocacy groups and this was my cheapest option of getting the legal guidance and help I need. This would be going toward my attorney retainer and all fees in this case. 

I just want protection from my ex. His attorney is trying to get this dropped and I fear for the consequences of trying to protect myself if I do not get this restraining order.  I already live paycheck to paycheck and don't have the financial means to cover getting an attorney. I would need the funds within the next 3 weeks.
