Meg's "I Have Hit Rock Bottom" Fund

Hello everyone,

I have written and re-written words in this little box about seven times now. There is so much to say and yet, if I did, this would end up a novel's length.

I shall try and sum up.

The beginning of November I moved out of my house into a little 2 bedroom triplex apartment that I share with my brother in Kirkwood (an area of town in Atlanta).* I had a job working as a manager for a restaurant in the newly developed Ponce City Market and was plugging along trying to figure out how in the hell I had managed to screw my life up so badly. I was making do, though, going to therapy, working, loving on my kids, and taking things one day at a time.

On April 20th the GM of the restaurant sat me down and told me that they were letting me go.

I have been without a job for almost a month now. I have filed for unemployment but apparently do not qualify at this time? I have had interviews with several restaurants and am waiting to hear back on the outcomes. (A possible GM position for FIGO pasta is one I'm hoping to hear back on). I am working with two recruiters who are actively submitting my resumé to places around town. I have my 3rd interview with a restaurant opening in Sandy Springs called Tupelo Honey Cafe this Monday the 16th. I have another possible interview with The Iberian Pig in Decatur sometime next week.

In short, while I have been searching and applying for jobs, I have been making no money whatsoever. Thankfully due to the generosity of some of my closest friends and a bit of savings I have managed to make it this far.

Now I am coming to you to ask if you could help me. Even when I do get my next job, I am now so far behind on bills and rent is due at the beginning of June and I don't know how I am going to catch up.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this.

Lovesomely,

Meg
