Matt Duckworth

Matt was recently diagnosed with gastric/esophageal cancer (adenocarcinoma to be exact) which has metastasized to his liver. He begin chemo treatments on August 20 as an outpatient at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. His treatments will continue every other Thursday for 8 weeks, and then he will consult with his oncologist to determine what the next steps should be.

The Caring Bridge site offers a way to stay updated on Matt's journey along with ways to support through words of encouragement and opportunities to provide meals and other help that may be needed. Matt and his wife Suzanne have so many friends and family outside of Nashville that want to support, so we're setting up a GoFundMe as another way to love on this sweet couple!

Funds will go to food delivery/meal gift cards, help with household chores (cleaning, lawncare), and other ways to provide support so that both Matt and Suzanne can have time to focus on healing and one another.

Matt and his wife Suzanne are such light in this world! Their gratefulness is truly inspiring, and through all of this, they continue to check in on others. To know them both is to be better for it! Thank you all!
