Caring for Katie

This is my sister Katie, and her two amazing boys! Many of you know that Katie has a tumor in her brain that is inoperable. She is also currently 6mos pregnant! The doctors have her on medication that is stopping her seizure activity. The plan for treatment at this time includes radiation to shrink this tumor, but radiation cannot begin until after she gives birth. They are hoping the medication can keep her from having seizures during the next few months of her pregnancy, and after baby is born to use radiation to shrink the tumor. Because of the medication -that is imperative for her and her health-she cannot drive or work. My sister and her partner Adam will be making numerous trips to Indianapolis over the next several months and will need a lot of financial help. Not only is Katie completely off of work, but Adam will need to be taking extra time off as well to take her to her appointments. I'm hoping we can raise funds to help with gas, current bills, rent, car payments, possible hotel stays in Indy, groceries and anything else they may need. Stress is a huge culprit for bringing on seizures and if we can take away the financial burden for them during this time it would be such a blessing.
