Help Keagan Fight Leukemia During COVID

Donation protected
Hello, everyone!

My name is Keagan Guy. On August 4th, 2020, I was diagnosed with cancer (acute myeloid leukemia) and rushed to the hospital to be admitted. My life was turned upside-down that day. My husband and I were suddenly put into a small room and told that we couldn't leave for a minimum of 30 days while I received intensive chemotherapy. COVID-19 precautions have prohibited us from even taking a step back into our normal lives. We aren't even allowed to see any other family members. Needless to say, it's been a rough month.

My husband Robert and I take pride in being independent. We've worked very hard for everything that we have and for the life we've built for ourselves. We also know when we need to ask for help. We are humbled by all the outpouring of love and support that we've received since my diagnosis. Now, we humbly ask that others find it in their hearts to give in order to help us financially over the next six months of treatment.

Luckily, we have insurance, but our out-of-pocket payments will still reach well beyond what we can afford. My treatment involves multiple rounds of intensive chemotherapy requiring lengthy hospital stays in isolation. Not only will we have medical bills to pay, but Robert will be taking family medical leave in order to be by my side. This means many weeks without income. Unfortunately, the mortgage, water, and electric bills do not care about cancer.

Chemotherapy treatment is tough enough on the body and soul. We only ask for help so that our finances may be less of a worry for us in this crazy and taxing time.

We are asking for $20,000, which we predict will pay for the out-of-pocket portion of our medical bills and make up for lost income over the next six months. We realize that this is a lot to ask for, especially during a time where many are left without jobs. If any of you are able, we humbly ask for your help.

Please know that we are so grateful for your kind thoughts, your hope, and your help.
