<div>On <strong>Friday 9 October 2026 World Singing Bowl Day</strong> I will attempt something that feels both extraordinary and deeply personal:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>To sustain the continuous acoustic sound of a single singing bowl for 24 hours as part of an officially approved Guinness World Records attempt.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The attempt begins at <strong>9:00am at Cosmopolitan Arts in Leicester.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For 24 hours, there will be no restarting.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>No second bowl.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>No electronic loop.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Just <strong>one person, one bowl, one continuous sound</strong> and an incredible community helping me hold the space around it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why am I doing this?</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because, for me, this is about far more than having my name in a record book.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The last few years of my life have taught me a lot about how quickly life can change.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They have taught me about grief.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>About love.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>About resilience.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>About what happens when the noise disappears and you are left alone with yourself.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And somewhere along that journey, I began to understand the importance of listening.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Not simply hearing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Listening.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To your body.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To your mind.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To the people you love.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To silence.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And sometimes, to one single sound.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I'm a jazz saxophonist, composer and spoken word artist, and more recently my journey has taken me deeper into meditation and the healing potential of sound.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I've spent countless hours playing music.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But I've never attempted anything like this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Twenty-four hours requires something different.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Patience.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Discipline.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Physical endurance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mental endurance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Presence.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There will almost certainly be moments where my body wants to stop.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Moments when my mind starts asking questions.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Moments when 24 hours feels impossibly long.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And that is partly why I want to do it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I want to find out what happens when, instead of running away from discomfort, I stay.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When I breathe.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When I listen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When I continue.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>But I cannot do this alone.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Although I will be the person playing the bowl, there is a whole team of people behind this attempt.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For Guinness World Records, the 24 hours must be properly <strong>witnessed, measured, filmed and documented.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We need independent witnesses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Evidence recorders.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Professional sound measurement.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Continuous video evidence.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Technical support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Live-streaming.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>People monitoring equipment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>People helping throughout the night.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And volunteers making sure everybody involved is fed, hydrated and looked after.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Some people are already generously giving their professional time to help make this possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So I'm raising <strong>£1,300 </strong>to support the event and, importantly, to support the people helping me make it happen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your donations will help towards:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Food, drinks and refreshments for our volunteers and witnesses
</div>
<div>• Travel and expenses for members of the professional verification team
</div>
<div>• Cameras and 24-hour evidence recording
</div>
<div>• Memory cards, drives and backup storage
</div>
<div>• Livestreaming equipment and connectivity
</div>
<div>• Technical equipment and backup power
</div>
<div>• Printing, signage and Guinness World Records evidence documentation
</div>
<div>• Wellbeing and practical support throughout the 24 hours
</div>
<div>• Unexpected costs that arise during an event of this scale
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>You can be part of the 24 hours.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are planning to livestream the attempt across<strong> TikTok, YouTube and Kick</strong>, which means wherever you are in the world, you will be able to drop in.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You might join us at hour one.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You might check in at midnight.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You might find us at 4am when everybody is tired.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Or you might be there as we approach that final hour.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And I think that is going to be one of the most beautiful parts of this experience.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Although there will only be one person playing the bowl, there could be hundreds or thousands of people listening.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Every donation matters.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>£5</strong> can help provide refreshments for someone volunteering their time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>£10 </strong>can help feed a member of the team during the 24 hours.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>£25</strong> can contribute towards evidence and recording equipment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>£50</strong> can help support the technical infrastructure needed to document and livestream the attempt.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And larger donations can make a significant difference to the overall costs of delivering the event.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But please know this:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>If you cannot donate, sharing this page is also support.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Share it with a friend.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Share it with your workplace.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Share it on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or WhatsApp.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Send it to somebody who believes in ambitious ideas.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because I don't want to reach the end of those 24 hours and feel that I did it alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I want to look around and see the volunteers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The witnesses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The technical team.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The people watching online.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The people who donated £5.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The people who shared the link.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The people who sent a message at 3am saying:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Keep going.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And know that somehow, all of those people were part of the sound too.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>24 HOURS. ONE BOWL. ONE SOUND.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For me, this is a world record attempt.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But it is also an experiment in presence.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>An act of endurance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A meditation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A celebration of community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And a reminder that sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply stay present long enough to listen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for believing in this idea.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for supporting the people helping to make it possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And thank you for becoming part of the journey.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Let's make sound history together.</strong>
