24 Hour Swim 4 Charity Challenge

Donation protected

Reddam House Berkshire's motto 'we shall give back' is at the heart of everything we do. On the 15th and 16th of October, the Reddam community is embarking upon a 24 Hr Swim for Charity Challenge in aid of hundreds of underprivileged communities across the world.

Reddam House Berkshire is supporting The Kindred Project which is a unique student-led organisation set up in 2010 by our sister school Sotogrande International, with the goal of enabling and empowering students to use education as a force for good. The Kindred Project strongly believes that proactive, responsible young people are essential for overcoming the problems in the world, and thus must be encouraged and supported as drivers of positive change within their local communities and beyond.

We are hoping to refurbish and re-equip the local health centre attended by our Ugandan partners, the Nabugabo Community Learning Centre. The Joseph Cabana health centre serves a population of over 10,000 people with problems associated to malaria, pneumonia, malnutrition, birth complications, STDs, TB, influenza, burns, ‘soft wounds’, snake bites, amongst many others. The staff at the clinic are well trained but lack the correct equipment and resources to carry out their work effectively.

Our aim is to fundraise throughout the year to cover the costs of construction of 2 latrines (men & women), paint the entire centre, and buy much needed equipment for the centre. Clearly, the more money we raise, the more we will be able to do!

Any donation, no matter how small will be very much appreciated.

Thank you so much for your generosity.
