Blown Motor, Broken Clavicle

Donation protected
First, allow me to introduce myself. My name is James Dimon. I am basically a normal guy who lives in a van.
Currently, my arm is in a sling due to a recent broken clavicle and I am stranded. Let me explain.

We have all had our share of strife in this life. By comparison, I have it made compared to some others, but recently, I have had a run of unusual experiences that have me reeling.
In a matter of about 10 days time, all I have relied on and counted on in life has been removed. My motorcycle, my van/home, my physical health, and a few other things too trivial to mention.
On top of which, l have been informed that the traveling lifestyle isn't for my bride any longer. She'll remain in Florida, where she is currently visiting family.

Some things are just life. Suck it up and deal. I get it.

Probem is, to move on, wheels are needed and at the moment I'm on National Forest land with a 14 day limit and a blown motor.

Hence the GFM.

Initially I tore things on the motor apart to attempt the repairs myself. I was returning from the auto parts store on my wifes scooter when I went down and broke my right collar bone. I am right handed and that arm remains in a sling.

Attempts where made by great friends to get things mobile once again. Over several days of wrench turning, it was determined that compression was not availble in three cylinders and a motor swap was needed to get back moving. Several calls were made to local shops. This is how the figure above was reached.

The dogs and I will stay in a borrowed tent during the repairs, so no storage or hotel costs will be involved in the project.

I wish there was more I could do and want to thank everyone for doing whatever is possible to get mobile once again. A remanufactured motor will allow me to independently access water and food for me and the dogs, return to a degree of normalcy and allow us to head up to Flagstaff before the tempratures rise here in the valley.

There will be a summer RTR in Flag and everyone is encouraged to come. I hope to be there with the dogs and van and meet you and thank you in person. Maybe even do an interview and get your story on our channel.

Thanks, James
