Help fund my dream!

Hi Everyone! Many of you know last weekend (5-7-16) my wife Karissa Otis and I moved up to Baudette MN to pursue my dream job as a fishing guide. everything went well during the move, and my wife and I were able to get to our formal interviews at a local resort on time (5-9-16). Karissa's interview went well, and she was able to get full time employment as a cook, I was really excited that she would finally get to use her degree. My interview however didn't go so well..

Time to fill you in on some back story. I had been in contact with the resort since early April. I originally applied to be a fishing guide. The resort owner was excited because they had an opening for a guide. Then came the bad news. I didn't have the necessary courses required by the US Coast Guard to captain a charter boat. This class is only put on a few times a year by one teacher here in MN. Seeing my lack of certifications and funds to attend the course. The resort owner said he could find work for me to do around the resort until I could save the funds needed to complete the course. On that promise, and the promise of a job for my wife we moved.

At my interview my would be boss was pretty up set. He wanted me to work for him but he simply could not find work for me to do around the resort. I was crushed, but I was determined. He told me that if I could get my credentials in order and attend the needed classes, he would have work for me.

The next day we found the website for the USCG class, and it's $1700.00 price tag. At this point It felt like a punch to the nose. I just moved, left a good paying job, and had an empty bank account to show for it. Not knowing what to do I picked up the phone and called the resort. Talking with the owner that interviewed me I told him I could not afford the class. There was a moment of silence and then he told me not to worry about it. He told me he had seen the amount of risk I had taken, and he was impressed. He told me he would talk with other owners and see if he could pick up the cost of the class . All I needed to do was sign up for the class and come in and meet with him the next day (5-11-16) . I WAS SO PUMPED!! I think you all saw the Facebook post that followed that conversation.

Well to make along story short, I met with Nick again the next day. and it didn't go well. He believed in me, but he could not convince the other owners. In their eyes I was some guy from the cities, with no experience. (which makes sense.) I was a big risk, and ultimately too big of one in their eyes. Nick said "they regard this class as a Chit of admittance. A way of showing you have skin in the game, and that you are committed." "I understand that completely, but I'm signed up for the class." was my response. nick looked at me and told me that he was excited about how committed I was, and that he didn't think this would stop me. well.. HE WAS RIGHT!!!!

This I where you guys come in. I need your help! you folks are all I have left. I need 1800.00 to cover the cost of my class, and the fees of this site. My class is scheduled to start MAY 22ND in Jordan MN.

WE HAVE ONE WEEK TO RAISE THE FUNDS. Again class starts may 22nd

THEY HAVE A POSITION ON HOLD FOR ME, ALL I NEED IS THIS CLASS!!!!!

Thank you, and God bless.
