Adoption/foster-heating basement

Hello friends & family. (Total decreased because we've gotten donations outside of GFM). I posted regarding our adoption/foster update on Facebook but here is a recap for those who haven't read it. Here is part of our journey so far. We started our domestic adoption home study process last April 2017. Last month we got word that our home study was finally complete. Why so long? It’s just the process. Sometimes it’s quicker sometimes it’s not. The same day we heard that our adoption home study was done, they also told us we had a possible match. Which we we’re surprised and excited. Going the adoption route we we’re told it could take quite some time for them to find us a match so this was unexpected news. This possible match though had a different twist to it but in a good way. Please note we can not share details and have to be vague because of this process and privacy for those involved. Anyway the child we have been matched with is up for adoption but the younger sibling is not because of a different parent. Sometimes there are different parents from one child to the next. So the younger sibling could be up for adoption but at this point the child is not. They both have been with the same foster family for two years but the foster family was only planning to foster. So in order for the children to potentially stay together or keep them at least in touch often, we have opted to get our foster care license. Which leads us to where we are. Fostering is a different process and more in depth than the adoption home study process. With that being said it is required that we have a better heating source in our basement where our current children have their rooms or have them share a small room upstairs till the adoption is final later in the year. We would like to avoid that but if not we will do what what needs to be done to keep things moving forward. However the Lord leads.  We have used portable heating when needed but that is not acceptable for fostering. We understand why, but it was an unexpected fix that has come up. We have gotten quotes to add ventilated heating but it’s way outside our financial capabilities on such short notice. It can be a wall heater but it has to be mounted high on the wall and has to venilate outside. No baseboard heating, it is considered a fire hazard due to it being by the floor. Either way we would like to have a different heating system down there in order for our girls to keep their rooms.  The fundraising amount is for a furnace downstairs and venilation. We are waiting on a couple more quotes in the mean time, so this amount could be decreased but for now we are going to share this and get it started. We are reaching out because our sources are limited. With prayer and clarity we keep moving forward. It was suggested to get a puzzle and have people donate $10.00 a puzzle piece. With that your name would be put on the puzzle piece (s). Every time we put together the puzzle as a family, we would be forever reminded of all the wonderful people who were part of our story and journey. ♥️ Or hang it on the wall with a clear backing to see the names.  We had our first meeting but it will be a slow transition but we are trusting God fully. If all goes well we should have our our foster care license by May sometime. Thank you for your prayers so far. Your continued prayers are appreciated. Our hearts are full on the responses on Facebook! We are excited to see God at work and through all of you. ♥️ We trust God completely in all this. Where He leads, we follow. No matter the direction. The puzzle is here now and partially put together.  When donations come in we will write your name on back. Thank you again for your love and encouragement! It's been very humbling. Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In ALL ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes.
