John is a kindergarten student at Lincoln Elementary School in District 200. John and his family came to the United States from Malaysia through the World Relief Program. He lives with his parents and three siblings, all of which attend, or will attend Lincoln Elementary School. John has transitioned well to his new school and has made many friends in his first year. He has shown tremendous growth academically and socially while learning the English language.
On May 4th, John, along with his mother and two siblings, were walking home from school when John was struck by a vehicle. On May 11th, John died, losing his battle to overcome his injuries.
The money raised will go directly to John's family to help with medical and funeral costs that have resulted from this tragic accident. Your donations will help take some of that burden off of the family.
