My name is Sofiah Grayce Jensen and I was born on 2/17/13 at Munson Hospital in Traverse City, MI. There were some pretty scary complications when I was born and I had to be immediately transferred to NICU at DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.
Although I am getting better and stronger everyday, the doctors have told my mommy and daddy that I will be here for several weeks while the team here helps me get better and stronger.
Because we are so far away from home, mommy and daddy have a lot of extra expenses they didn't plan on having. Home is almost 100 miles away. Mommy and daddy have to stay down here near by and travel back and forth to the hospital. Even though they are close, it can be expensive on a new family's budget. Not only that but daddy still needs to travel back home to go to work on the weekends.
If you can help my mommy and daddy that would help me out a lot. I need them to be with me right now to watch over me and to help me get better. If they don't have to worry so much about how they are going to take care of themselves while they are here then they will have an easier time helping me because they won't be so stressed out about the silly stuff like money.
