Indigenous Content Creator Fund

Hadih, I’m a Wet’suwet’en content creator for multiple social media pages, and am looking for assistance in paying bills & acquiring tools for more media. I am struggling to make ends meet.

I would also like to be able to put out better quality of media. The tools I currently have are outdated, and the DSLR I had was stolen earlier this year. I am currently off work - as I am spending most of my time assisting our people with information sharing, content creating, and being out on our land. Access to funding for electronics would enable me to share better quality photos/videos - which would help everyone see what we are encountering, through a clearer lens (pun intended). I would utilize a portion of it to pay towards hydro, phone, and other bills if needed (for transparency’s sake). The work I currently do is all on a volunteer basis. I am not looking to source funding from any other pages & Indigenous communities which I create content with - but know that there may be some who would like to assist in better quality content being shared.

Devices goals list for highest quality; ease of production: - Camera (Nikon DSLR replacement), large capacity/high quality SD cards, MacBook Pro, Accessory Kit, Software: Final Cut Pro X, AppleCare, case, mouse, extra cords, Freefly Movi Cinema Gimbal, possibly/eventually a newer phone.

I appreciate your time and assistance, and hope to be able to bring higher quality content regarding all that Indigenous peoples are facing.
