Cortney Foust Medical/Recovery Fund
Donation protected
My name is Katie, and I am a friend of the Foust family. I am raising money to help them, as they would do anything to help someone if they were in need.
On Saturday April 30, 2016, Cortney was helping take logs off the side of a local business and was accidentally pulled off the roof by one of these logs. When he landed on the ground, he shattered and fractured several of the bones in his foot and lower leg, also dislocating his ankle. He was taken by ambulance to Lakeview Medical Center, in Rice Lake where they performed emergency surgery to start the repair process of his leg and ankle. He has been since released from L.M.C., but will have several surgeries in Marshfield, WI to finish the repairs to his foot/leg. Since the first surgery, Cortney has had a second surgery in Marshfield, and has to endure yet another as they found out that there is more damage to the Fibula, they hadn't seen on the scan previously. Only time, and surgical reconstruction results will determine if he will have to have more surgical, and or other interventions.
The long term goal is that he will walk on that foot again, but unfortunately he will no longer be a runner like he used to enjoy. Any money donated would appreciated, and be used for all the doctors appointments and surgeries ahead, Cortney had just started a new job, and was not there long enough to qualify for insurance yet. Cortney is the sole provider for his family, along with a volunteer fire fighter for Shell Lake.
