Relief help for Sheri Maass

As you may know, Sheri Maass was diagnosed with a rare unknown stage four terminal cancer. This cancer is extremely aggressive and taking a huge toll on her body. One of the major side effects is fluid collecting in her chest cavity. The doctors are hoping that chemotherapy will help “dry” out this fluid over time. At her last chemotherapy (second treatment) she became non responsive and was rushed to the hospital. Super scary situation for everyone and the doctors have decided to pause chemotherapy for the time being, until then she is constantly suffering. When the fluid hits a certain “fullness” she has to rush to the ER and have liters of fluid removed ( thoracentesis ) so her lungs have room to expand and breathe again along with other medical complications that can occur. Due to her ever changing physical requirements, it would be best if she could have a bed that allows for flexibility. After some research, its been decided a sleep number bed with an adjustable head would be best for her. This way she can control her comfort levels and be able raise her head in order to prevent as much fluid from filling her lungs. As you can imagine, all that fluid makes it unsafe for her to lay flat. She begins to feel like she’s literally drowning. The bed will be a major relief for her and at this point, it’s necessary.
