Amy Cabrera's fight for life

At some point in our lives, all of us have been affected by cancer—either a personal battle or helping a loved one with the disease. My sweet daughter Amy is diagnosed with breast cancer. As a devoted mother I am devastated, this is my worst nightmare. Feeling helpless, lost and terrified, I search for the strength to move forward for my daughter in a positive way to battle this dreadful disease. The doctors discovered a very large mass which is complicated by the cancer moving into other areas. Based on the diagnoses, the doctors feel chemo and radiation are the only option.  Amy has done significant alternative research and wishes to seek treatment outside the US where there are more options available, less limitations and the financial burden won’t ravage our family. 
Besides the physical and emotional tolls, we face an enormous financial challenge.  Even with the numerous beneficial advancements in fighting this disease, the costs far exceed what our family and friends can afford. Our hope is by reaching out to you for any amount of support you may be able to offer, it will carry us through the most difficult time in our lives. 
Even as devastating as the diagnosis is, Amy is tough and determined young lady who retains a positive attitude. We humbly ask for your support and prayers as Amy admirably fights her greatest life challenge head on.  Our family has placed our hope, trust in God and community to assist her with her fight.  As they say, “it takes a village”
