Haiti Medical Relief Trip 2013:

"Embracing the Command to Serve"
The International Health Council at Morehouse School of Medicine is requesting your assistance to help fund this year's medical mission trip to Thomonde, Haiti. The mission trip is an annual event facilitated through Project Medishare that allows Morehouse School of Medicine students and physicians to provide health care to those in underserved areas in Haiti. Last year's trip was postponed due to inadequate funding, and this year we are sincerely asking for your assistance.
The mission of Project Medishare is to improve the health of Haitian people by reestablishing health infrastructure and to provide health care for over 72,000 people in Thomande, Marmont, and Casse. Project Medishare's "Community Health Project in Thomonde" is a perfect opportunity for us to honor Morehouse School of Medicine's social mission to serve the underserved. We will be bringing medical supplies, medication, and much needed health services to hundreds of Thomonde residents. The total cost to send 14 students and 8 health care providers is $30,000. We are working diligently to raise enough funds to tallow all students and volunteers to attend this years trip. Please consider sowing a seed into our cause!
The 2013 trip is planned for July 14-20, 2013 and will include a team of translators, doctors, students and Public Health workers. We need your support to mobilize health clinics in the rural Central Plateau of Haiti!
