Tyson's Battle
Donation protected
I've known Tyson Grooms since I was 5 years old. Saturday, I found out he was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in January. Here’s what he posted on Facebook:
“So, January of this year, I found out I have Hodgkin’s Lymphoma stage 4. I’ve only let the closest of my circle know about it till now because I didn’t want everybody blowing up my phone 24/7, but its come to the point where this ole boy needs some help. Trust me, if I could work, I would, but the chemo wipes me out big time to where just me getting out of the house is a good day. I guess it is just time to let everybody on here know cause the well is running dry as far as my money situation goes and I’m just at the edge of my sanity most days.”
Right after posting this, the class of 2007 created a Facebook group chat knowing we had to do something for our friend. There is a benefit in the works for July, but he needs help paying bills before then. Battling cancer is a feat within itself, but trying to provide while battling the biggest battle of your life is hard. No one should have to go through their battle alone, and as a graduate from the class of 2007, we stand by him. We will be his battle partners, but we can’t do this alone either. We/he needs all of the help he can get right now with paying bills and buying his medicine. Please, if you feel led in your heart to give, please do. Our classmate could really use your prayers and support during this difficult time.
Anything you can give is appreciated.
Thank you.
