The It's A Strategy Scholarship

Decades ago in 1954, the Supreme Court made a monumental decision in the fight for justice and equality during the Brown v Board of Education case that deemed that "separate but equal" was inherently unconstitutional. This landmark decision ended legal school segregation, but much like many changes, the effects of the segregation itself are still heavily apparent.
Many BIPOC Americans find themselves at odds with going to college for many reasons, but the main one is key: affordability. As a New York City founded organization, we see this disparity prevalent on home soil with yearly tuition hikes in the City Universities of New York and the rising prices of the State Universities of New York. So we came up with an idea: the It's A Strategy scholarship.
Although we can't help every single incoming BIPOC college freshman, we can help a couple. The scholarship provides not only funding to 2 students, but access to constant mentoring and assistance throughout their college careers from senior members of Strategy for Black Lives. As recent college graduates and above, we have the knowledge to help the students achieve academic excellence and high levels of civic engagement to better their own communities.
We ask for your help in getting the right people the help that they need to succeed and give back to others in need.
The youth are the future. Let's build them into a bright one.
Thank you,
Strategy for Black Lives
