Dave Umstead Trumpet Fund

Donation protected
For over 10 years Dave Umstead has been inspiring students at Hollis Brookline High School to not only love music, but embrace every aspect of it. He isn't just a band director, he is a mentor, a leader, and a friend. Day in and day out, Mr. Umstead sacrifices his time, energy, and money without a want for gratitude, most days going above and beyond his job description. Every year, the graduating senior class shows their appreciation through a gift called the "Dave Umstead Award." This year, the seniors of Hollis Brookline High School Class of 2016 would like to thank Mr. Umstead by giving him the money to purchase a new trumpet. After all he has done for his students, teaching us to love what we do in and out of the band room, as well as to be better human beings, we would like to give back to him. We would like to do this by connecting him to music, as he has done for us. We are looking to raise roughly $3,500 towards a gift certificate he can use to purchase the new trumpet he has always wanted. We are looking to raise this in the next few weeks. We would be very grateful if we could raise this money and give back to Mr. Umstead because he has shaped so many of our lives and fostered a love for music and a love for exploration, commitment, and hard work.
