UPDATE: EGG WAS ABLE TO COME HOME!!! I am so grateful for everyone's donations because without the support I would have had to make a very tough decision. With the donations I was able to pay for him to stay in the hospital longer and the doctor was able to provide him pricey meds through an i.v. that eventually cleared his intestines. He responded so well to the medication that the vet no longer thinks surgery is a pressing matter. He's still being treated for poisoning with three different medications at home and currently seems to be improving. I have to keep a close eye on him for the next little while to make sure he doesn't relapse. Fingers crossed for a healthy kitten Egg! My MASSIVE vet bill is still looming and I am so grateful to have so many wonderful friends who are helping me out. THANK YOU FOR SAVING EGGY'S LIFE!!!
My dear kitten Egg is eight months old. I rescued him from a farm in Quebec last June. Last week he fell very ill. I brought him to the vet on Tuesday, but when he started throwing up and was unable to keep down any fluids I had to take him to the emergency room. After doing tests and imaging I was told that Egg has something lodged in his intestines and needs surgery in order to save his life. The surgery is very costly and I cannot pay for it without help. My only other options would be to surrender him to the Humane Society or to euthanize him.
