Please help me fight my racist landlord!!!

Hello, My name is Aasia. I am a 20-year-old Black, Transgender woman in Bk. Due to The current covid crisis I have 0 income and yet have received nothing from New York State unemployment. Throughout the duration of the pandemic I have been increasingly shoved further into the dangers housing insecurity not only by my landlord, but real estate agents as well as my white and white adjacent cis-male ex-roommates. My apartment is a poorly up-kept building in Bushwick between a nail salon and a small restaurant. The owners name is Deodat Lowtan and he owns a 39 dilapidated buildings across the Bushwick/Ridgewood area. While living in this unit I have •Suffered multiple pest problems including: -Cockroach infestation -Deliberately untreated bedbugs -rats in our building’s main hallway and a rat infestation in the yard and building’s walls/floorboards (I frequently hear rats fighting, etc under my floors). •Living with a family of 4 non-paying/unaccounted for strangers for months, brought in by my roommate’s sub-letters who ate my food, damaged my artwork and constantly had large gatherings without notice. •Unsanitary, filthy halls with (now poorly patched) holes in the dry wall and unpatched ceiling holes. •Extremely cold wintertime temperatures/ heating neglect. •Threats of lock change and illegal 2-day notice from Nooklyn facilitated by my ex-roommates, in conjunction with Nooklyn and Deodat as well as constant harassment and gaslighting in. Hopes of moving me out or getting me to move out. •Racist &verbal attacks from my landlord (Deodat Lowtan a.k.a. “Rupert”) -Verbal attacks over the phone, being told “take it up with the judge motherfucker”, etc. over asking for rent relief due to COVID-19 -During one altercation “you a roach” was shouted at me multiple times within a 5 minute period. This was while finally attempting to have Deodat (landlord) to hire a liscenced, professional exterminator instead of the one he had been sending. I have spoken at rent cancellation rallies about my fear of intrusion. not only from one of my ex roommates who still possesses a key to this apartment but Nooklyn or Deodat himself. For months I slept with a coffee table w/ stacked boxes and a weapon on it, tightly wedged in between my bedroom door and bed. My health has suffered from the stress I’m under. I have lost 15lbs. And recently been notified of my climbing blood pressure. I’ve had hair loss and loss of appetite due to stress since the beginning of this fight that I know has only just begun. And now my landlord has served me a 14-day-notice of eviction and debt collection notice for back rent during the duration of the covid crisis. He has served similar notices to 3 of his black tenants so far and has told a white tenant of his not to worry about the rent. (Update: a white tenant has been served similar papers as of this morning) I was hoping to be able to start my transition fund soon, especially with my 21st birthday coming this month. However, this takes precedence, especially since one of my ex roommates Is already suggesting that we comply to a seddlement and “save him the trouble of taking us to court” The funds I’m asking for will contribute to the following: • Legal fees (as I have no intention on allowing them to bully me or anyone else out for fifteen-thousand-dollars) • The entire amount of my backlogged renters debt in anticipation of an unfavorable ruling. • Relocation/cost of eviction and finding safe housing • and helping me get back on my feet after having 0 income (including public assistance) for the entirety of the covid crisis thus far. Any donations are helpful and greatly appreciated, please share this as wide as you can. I refuse to be a victim of targeted harassment during a global pandemic and the new movement for Black lives. ALL Black lives matter. And I need for someone to have my back and help me fight this after seasons of harassment and neglect.
